This isn't a normal job. This is a front-row seat to building a company.
At avoltra, we help energy-intensive companies optimize their full energy lifecycle: from forecasting to procurement to flexibility monetization. We're building the agentic operating system for how large industrial players manage energy.
We already work with leading industrial companies and have proven customer value. What we don't have yet is a second pair of founder hands — someone who can pick up whatever matters most this quarter, own it properly, and hand it back as a system instead of a one-off.
As our Founding Chief of Staff, you work directly with the founders across everything outside engineering: customers, commercial, operations, and the strategic bets that decide where the company goes next. Your scope will change every few months. That's the job, not a bug in it.
And importantly: this role is designed to grow with you. Prove yourself, and it becomes a launchpad into growing within avoltra.
🚀 Own whatever matters most
- Take the hardest open problem and close it. Whatever is currently stuck between the founders — a stalled account, an unclear pricing question, a tender we need to answer — becomes yours end-to-end, from analysis to decision to execution.
- Run customer accounts without a founder in the room. Onboard new customers, set up environments, ingest and preprocess data, and advise on procurement strategy, battery business cases, and production scheduling — using our product rather than a slide deck as the basis of the recommendation.
- Quantify the value we create. Build and present business reviews that show realized savings against baseline, and carry expansion from the first signal through champions, budget timing, and procurement to a signed extension.
- Drive strategic projects. Pricing and contract design, partnerships with asset providers, tender responses, new segments — the things that only get done if someone owns them full-time for six weeks.
- Run the company's operating rhythm. Goals, weeklies, investor updates, hiring processes, and the reporting that tells us honestly whether we're winning.
⚙️ Build the engine
- Turn what you do by hand into a system. Every onboarding, business review, and analysis you run becomes a template, a playbook, or a product requirement instead of tribal knowledge.
- Make the company legible. Define the metrics that matter and build the reporting behind them, so decisions get made on numbers rather than instinct.
- Drive structured discovery. Test hypotheses with real accounts, separate what customers say from what they'd pay for, and bring the findings back sharply.
